Washington State Mental Health Summit

Oct 5, 2017

On October 5th, 2017, over 100 leaders in education, business, policy, health care, academia and philanthropy spent the day discussing innovative ways to transform mental health care in Washington State. Sponsored by Chad’s Legacy Project and hosted by the UW Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, five workgroups presented ideas on innovative mental health solutions to complex issues facing Washington State.

Dr. Maria Monroe-DeVita, Dr. Carolyn Brenner, and Mr. Frank Katz spoke about First Episode Psychosis, presenting two ideas related to developing sustainable pathways to care and effective treatment for youth with early psychosis: 1) a telephone consultation line and 2) a digital community for on-demand access to information, social media, and resources.
