The University of Washington’s Evidence Based Practices for Adults team held its first PACT ECHO Clinic. PACT teams, or Programs of Assertive Community Treatment, provide community-based support to individuals with serious mental illness with the goal of decreasing costs related to hospitalization and empowering clients to live more independently. The clinic follows the Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) Model. The team is using state-of-the-art telehealth technology and clinical management tools to provide clinical consultation, to provide expert training in the form of specialized didactics, and to support professional development efforts in PACT teams throughout Washington State. Currently, clinicians from 14 PACT teams are participating on a monthly basis.
