Psychosis Support
Resources for Psychosis
Around 3 out of every 100 people living in the United States have experienced or will experience a psychotic episode in their lives. However, not everyone who has experienced a psychotic episode will go on to develop psychosis. Whether or not this occurrence develops into a lifelong condition, resources and help are available for people experiencing psychosis as well as their loved ones.
The vision of the faculty and staff of the UW SPIRIT Lab is that people experiencing psychosis have the same life expectancy and expectations of life as their peers who have not experienced psychosis. Our mission is to improve the well-being of individuals experiencing psychosis and their families. SPIRIT is dedicated to state-of-the-art care and treatment, research, and training for psychosis, with a specific focus on sustained implementation of effective care for psychosis in community settings and throughout the healthcare system.
